Woodland Disco and Glowfest Friday, August 14th, 2015

Create memories with family and friends! Taking place in the heart of Oshawa at Parkwood Estate, this brand new, free and family-friendly event features a D.J. disco dance party, glow art, children’s crafts, interactive art activities, laser tag, dance performances and art installations presented by the local arts community.

Once the suns goes down, marvel over the beauty of historic Parkwood Estate’s gardens and fountains all aglow. Experience a glow-in-the-dark wonderland, awash with hula hoops, roaming buskers, stilt walkers, a fire-breather, glow art and glow face painting.

Food will be available in the tea garden.

Woodland Disco and Glowfest is presented by the City of Oshawa in partnership with community organizations including:

  • Oshawa Art Association
  • Parkwood Estate
  • Oshawa Community Health Centre
  • Robert McLaughlin Gallery
  • Oshawa Community Museum
  • LivingRoom Community Art Studio

Thanks to these partners, Festival goers will enjoy activities such as a GloPaint Battle featuring 18 local artists competing for the coveted people’s choice award in an exciting live art showdown, a “Party Like It’s 1879″ photo booth, ring toss and glow tattoos, an interactive art weaving project, create-your-own party gear, and more!

Parkwood Estate will offer guided tours of the mansion’s entertainment spaces for a $5 fee.
